Son of Uriah Anderson and Edna Huddleston.

Married Margaret Louise Bowling (shown on the county marriage registry as "Marget Boolling") on 23 December 1877 in St. Genevieve County, MO. (Margaret later remarried, this time to John P. Vallé.)

Martha is their only known child.

Matilda "Tillie" Anderson Shoults, Brooks' sister, named one of her children Calvin Brooks Shoults, while another sister, Martha Tabitha Anderson Johnson, named a son Brooks Anderson Johnson.

Apparently the few siblings to reach adulthood were very close!

As a side note, Brooks is listed in the 1880 census as having "dropsy.

Per a land patent entry, "Margaret A. Anderson" was already widowed by "Brooks N. Anderson" by 15 February 1884. So 1881 seems a likely year, though we don't yet have the specific date.
