Minnie Alice Ford was born March 3, 1879, the daughter of Daniel and Sarah
Ford, southeast of Tipton in Cedar county, Iowa. She attended schools in Cedar
county and attended Moneca church. She was united in marriage to Cornelius
Allen Morehouse, January 1, 1892. Five children were born to this marriage,
three are still surviving: Mrs. Walter I. Chamberlain of Tipton, Mrs. Ray
Handley, Tipton, and Vernon A. Morehouse, Tipton; two children died in
infancy. Her husband, Cornelius, preceded her in death June 28, 1926. She was
a member of the Royal Neighbors Lodge.

Mrs. Morehouse is survived by her three children, three brothers, and one
sister; also two grandsons, Guyford Daut and Jack Handley, both serving with
the armed forces in the Pacific theater.

Minnie Morehouse was a loving mother and a faithful wife. In the hearts of her
children her love lives after her.

Funeral service was held at the Wilson funeral home, November 22, 1945,
conducted by the Rev. Stanley Schlick. Interment was made in the Rochester
cemetery.
