Laura L. Bailey was born near Rochester, Iowa, on May 30, 1872. She was the
daughter of Gideon and Jennie A. Bailey and made her home here until her
marriage to Alva Berton Tracht on March 16, 1899. For the past six years the
family made their home in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where she passed away on
Sunday, May 19, 1935, at the age of 62 years, 11 months and 19 days.
Beside her husband, she leaves three children, Robert Gideon of Milwaukee, Ida
Edith Hambright of Bennett, Iowa, and Lucile Lillian Reynolds of Milwaukee,
Wisconsin, one brother Noah Edwin Bailey of Chula Vista, California, and six
grandchildren, Robert, Richard, Phillip and Ray Hambright of Bennett, Iowa,
and Audrey and Thos. Reynolds Tracht of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Funeral services at the Reformed Church on Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock with
the Rev. H. N. Poston, Pastor of the Presbyterian church officiating. Burial
at the Rochester Cemetery.
