Reuben Howard was in the 14th NY Heavy Artillery Co D. He enlisted in Montour, NY July 4, 1863. The 1890 Civil War Soldiers Census has him listed as living in Milan, Monroe, Michigan. It states he was wounded at the Wilderness 5/8/1864 by shell shot to the left side...captured, sent to Andersonville, Ga Prison . He was discharged from McClellen US Army Hospital in Philadelphia in June 27, 1865.
