Osborne County Farmer 23 Jan 1889: Mrs. Steerman, wife of L. D. Steerman, of Bloom township, died December 30, 1888, of consumption, age 47 years eleven months. She was a consistent Christian, and an active member of the Methodist Episcopal Church. She leaves a husband and ten children the youngest but three years old, to mourn their loss. Rev. Harsh conduced the funeral service.
Aramantha was a daughter of George Irwin and Margaret Bonnett Marsh.
Her siblings included Salathiel, Sarah Jane, Hiram, Eliza, Rheuhama, Albert, Gilbert Miflin, Flavius Augustus, George L. and William G. Marsh.
She married Lair D. Steirman/Steerman in 1862 in Lewis County, W.V. Their children included Harman B., William Burton, Ruhama J., George J.M., Mary F., Albert Lewis, John A., Eliza M., Benjaman Frank and Edward.
According to the Census, sometime between 1880 and 1885 the family moved from West Virginia to Kansas.
