Earl P. King, Dies in Memphis
BOLIVAR, Tenn. — Earl P. King, 61, died suddenly while, visiting his son in Memphis, Tuesday night.
Services will be Thursday at 2 p.m., at the Maple Springs Baptist Church, with the Rev. Lawson Williamson officiating.
Burial will be in Vernon near Toone with the Shackelford Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. King was a farmer and lived on Route 1, Toone, and was a member of the Maple, Springs Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Minnie Staggs King of Toone, seven sons, Gilbert and Jim King of Memphis; Clyde King, J. V. King, L. D. King, Ray King and Albert King of Toone; one daughter, Mrs. Earline Collins of Jackson; three brothers, Roe King of Steele, Mo., Ervin King and Charlie King of Toone; one sister, Mrs. Lizzie Staggs of Brownsville and 33 grandchildren.
