Mattie was the daughter of Edward R. Anderson and Frances Mancell. She was also the sister to Joshua Jordan Anderson ( my husband's 2nd great grandfather). Joshua's wife Dee died soon after their last child was born. Joshua was unable to raise his children alone, one of his sons, Mit, was raised by Mattie and her family.
