Geraldine Levesque,
Longtime Mill Worker
SANFORD – Geraldine "Jerry" Levesque, 82, of 35 Lenox Street, died Thursday at Greenwood Center.
She was born in Springvale on July 3, 1911, the daughter of Albion and Laura Foss Bodwell. She attended local schools, graduating from Sanford High School, and attended Nasson College in Springvale.
Mrs. Levesque worked in the Goodall-Sanford Mills until they closed in 1954, and then worked in area shoe shops.
She was married to Alfred Levesque, who died in 1990.
Survivors include three sons, Robert of Lewiston, Richard of Springvale and Ronald of Sanford; five daughters, Mrs. Russell (Joanne) Gray, Linda Frances, Mrs. David (Shirley) Demers and Mrs. Alan (Jackie) Demers, all of Sanford, and Mrs. Roland (Pat) Morin of Aurora, CO; 20 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
