Francis G. (Norton) Matson, 77, Northfield died Monday, Aug. 8, 1983, in Northfield City Hospital. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in St. Peter's Lutheran church, Northfield, with Rev. Chester Oleson officiating. Burial will be in Northfield Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 9 p.m. today in Benson-Anderson Funeral Home, Northifeld.
He is survived by his wife Clara; five sons, Donald, Richard and Robert, all of Northfield, and Lyle of Elko and Francis Jr. of Duluth; two daughters Deloris Edwardsen and Mary Ann Gustafson, both of Northfield; one brother, Virgil of Duluth; one sister, Ethel Brown of Rochester; 44 grandchildren and 44 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, Russell; one daughter, Carol Spartz; five brothers and two grandsons.
