Mr. Pickard died unexpectedly Tuesday afternoon at his home, 812 West Hyde Park avenue. A native of Union Star, Mo., he had lived here most of his life. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of the Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Hazel Pickard; two sons, Wilbur Pickard of St Joseph and George Pickard, Jr., of Kansas City; one brother, John Pickard of Union Star, Mo.; one sister, Mrs. Mary Kyler of King City, Mo.; and six grandchildren." St Joseph News-Press, December 29, 1965
