G. WALTER COSSIN (Republican), of Mason county, Senator from the Fourth Senatorial District, was born May 7, 1876, In Jackson county, and was educated in the public schools and at Shelton College. He has served with credit in the following offices in his home county: Justice of the peace, deputy sheriff, and assessor, and was a Jefferson Guard at the Louisiana Purchase Exposition at St. Louis, in 1903 and 1904. During the session of the Legislature he served on the following committees: On Labor; on Claims and Grievances; on Federal relations; on Enrolled Bills, and on Public Library.

G W Cossin was a first elected as Mayor of Point Plesant, WV. He was drowned in the Ohio River just below Gallipolis City.
