James Harrison "Jim" Fox, son of Charles M. and Jasimine Fox, was born April 18, 1916 east of Tarkio MO. He passed away Wednesday, December 6, 2006 at Northview Manor, Tarkio, at the age of 90.

Jim was united in marriage to Josephine English in 1940. Jim honorably served his country in the Army Air Corp during World War II. He spent a good portion of his life in St. Louis, and moved back to Rock Port in 1988. He was an interior decorator as well as a small cafe owner/ operator. Jim also owned his own tractor trailer rig, which he and his wife operated for a few years.

While health allowed, Jim belonged to The Eagles AERIE 3767 of Auburn NE for several years. He also donated much time to the Rock Port Nutrition Center.

He is survived by his sister Sharley Branson and her husband Lloyd, Rock Port; one aunt, Elsie Hoagland, St. Joseph MO; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Besides his parents and wife, Jim was preceded in death by his step mother Loretta K. Fox; four brothers and one infant sister.

Graveside services and burial were held Saturday, December 9, 2006 at 2pm, Home Cemetery, Tarkio. There was no scheduled family visitation. Memorials may be directed to the Rock Port Nutrition Center.
