GERALDINE DIMON CORBIN, 94, a lifelong resident of Rome and Wysox, died on Wednesday, July 30, 2003, at the Tioga Nursing Facility, Waverly. Geraldine was born on Sept. 29, 1908, a daughter of the late James T. and Lizzie (Strope) Lenox of Allis Hollow. Gerry is survived by her daughter and son-in-law: Alice and William Watson of Towanda; her son and daughter-in-law, Richard H. and Louise Dimon, of Gillett; a daughter-in-law, Margaret Dimon of Wysox; her stepchildren, George Dana and his wife, Jean Corbin of Okeechobee, Fla., Gerald Grant and his wife, Linda Corbin of Sayre, Christine and her husband, Ora Thetga, of Potterville; 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Gerry was predeceased by her husbands, Leon C. Dimon and George Corbin; her son James L. Dimon; a grandson, David Dimon; brothers Earl and Howard Lenox; and her sister Nellie Lenox Richmond. At Geraldine's request all services will be held at the convenience of the family on Saturday, at the Sutfin Funeral Chapel, 273 S. Main St., Nichols. Interment will follow in the Rome Cemetery.
