Funeral services for R.N. Harrell, 86, long time resident in this area, were held, at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Owens Funeral Home Chapel with Allen Otto of the local
Church of Christ officiating.
Burial was in Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Pallbearers were Clarence Rollins, Curtis Haywood, Roy Pyne, Sid Burkcett, Robert Malone and W. E. Malone.
Mr. Harrell died at 6:55 a.m. Saturday in a Whitewright Nursing Home after an illness
of several months.
He was born June 15, 1877 in Tennessee, the son of W. M. Harrell and Sarah Homes* Harrell. He married Lula Moore Dec. 26, 1902.
He was a retired farmer and a member of the Wolfe City Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, three sons, Richard Harrell or Wolfe City, .Norris Harrell of Collinsville, Tex. and Woodrow Harrell of Rockwall; one brother, W. T. Harrell of Dallas three grandchildren and two grandchildren. .
One child preceeded him in death.
