Mr. A. L. Conder, age 69, of Forrest City, died Friday, March 31, 2000, at Methodist Hospital Central in Memphis.
Born August, 25, 1920, in Paris, Texas, he was the son of Murray Vester Conder and Myrtle Collom Conder. He was a retired truck driver for Roadway Truck Line, a Korean War veteran and a member of the Moose Lodge of Forrest City.
He is survived by his wife, Billie Conder, of Forrest City; two sons, Jonathan "Johnny" Conder and Kevin "Craig" Conder, both of Forrest City; one daughter, Leora Anita Grany, of Forrest City; one brother, Sam Conder of New Mexico; three sisters, Betty Conder, of Forrest City, Nellie Russell, of Arizona and Freddie Scooter, of Washington, D. C.; and four grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sunday, April 2, 2000, at Morgan Chapel with Bro. William Witcher officiating. Burial followed in Salem Cemetery under the direction of Morgan Funeral Home.
