COOKEVILLE Funeral services for Walter Maxwell, 78, will be held tomorrow August 9 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Hooper Huddleston Funeral Home with Rev. Joe Roysden and the Rev. Burdette Randolph officiating. Burial will be in the Cookeville City Cemetery.
Mr. Maxwell died Thursday August 7, 1986 in Cookeville Health Care Center following an extended illness.
He was a native of Putnam County and the son of the late Jerd and Tina Foster Cooper Maxwell.
Mr. Maxwell was a retired farmer.
His family includes one daughter, Betty Hunter of Baxter, four grandchildren, Jonathan & Susan Stout of McMinnville and David & Beth Hunter of Baxter; two foster children, Robbie Lee Harbin of Mobile, AL and Dorothy June Hardy of San Antonia, TX. Six sisters; Mattie Clayton of CA, Winnie Whittaker, Ruby Moss, Genie Whittaker, Lorene Maxwell and
Nell Williams all of Baxter, two brothers, Clarence & Lillard Maxwell both of Baxter, and one great grandchild.
