Selwyn Lewis Swan, 91, of Cleveland, TX died Sept. 2, 2010. Born in Forest, TX, he was a Medic in the Army Medical Corps in WWII. He moved to Pasadena and retired from Olin Chemical after 35 yrs. Swan was a member of SBOA and refereed basketball for 27 yrs. He is survived by his wife Janie Swan, son Thomas and wife Mary Swan, son Doug Swan, daughter Sina and husband Mike Hale, daughters Sabra Reed and Sabrina Swan, grandsons Scott Swan, David Swan, David G. Swan, Charles Swan, Christopher Hale, Shawn Reed, Brent Reed, several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Swan was preceded in death by his parents Spence and Cara Swan, brothers Spencer Swan and Bruce Swan, sister Margie Jungers, and son Charles S. Swan. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 am, Thurs., Sept. 9, First United Methodist Church, Cleveland. In lieu of flowers please donate to Hospice Care of the Southwest.
