MOUNT PLEASANT - Ernestine Peel Culler, 89, died Monday, July 13, 1998, at a Mount Pleasant nursing home.
She was born in Rocky Mount, N.C., a daughter of Andrew and Dora Scarborough Peel.
She was the widow of Michael Culler.
She was a member of Washington Street Methodist Church in Columbia. She enjoyed oil painting during her retirement years and presented her paintings across the state.
She was a graduate of Columbia High School and Draughn's Business College in Columbia.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary Ragin of Mount Pleasant and Jean Pruett of LaQuinta, Calif.; a son, Michael Culler Jr. of Surfside Beach; a sister, Margaret Keister of Lexington; a brother, Jacques Allen Peel of Princeton Junction, N.J.; 10 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Mount Pleasant chapel. A graveside service will be at 4 p.m. Thursday in Greenlawn Cemetery in Columbia.
