Funeral rites were held at the Zuver & Calvin funeral home at 2:30 this afternoon for Carl Dorow, aged 62, who died Sunday evening at his farm home southeast of this village, his death following a stroke of paralysis.
The Rev. Kughn, pastor of St. Paul's Evangelical church of St. Joseph, conducted the services and burial was in Maple Hill cemetery.
Mr. Dorow, a well-known Hartford farmer and fruit grower, had been in ill health since November but had been critically ill only a week, culminating in a stroke, before his death.
Deceased was born in Germany in 1876 and came from there to St. Joseph, Mich., 35 years ago. Eighteen years ago he came to Hartford and purchased the farm where his death occurred.
He is survived by his wife, Augusta, a son, Frank, and a granddaughter, Jean. Two children preceded him in death. He also leaves two brothers and three sisters, Henry and Albert Dorow, Mrs. Fred Dundie, Mrs. Albert Betner and Mrs. Adolph Zendler, all residing at St. Joseph.
