He was united in marriage to Phoebe Osborne, January 28, 1871 in Columbus, Kansas. Six children were born to this union, two sons and four daughters: Charles O. Hall of Ontario, Calif.; Clara Dennis of Bellflower, Calif.; Jennie Turley of Iola, Kansas; Wilbur Hall of Columbus, who died Jan 12, 1926, and Laura May who died at the age of 6 years.
