T.J. Rowell, 83, of Winnfield died Thursday, Oct. 2, 2003, at Winn Parish Medical Center in Winnfield. Mr. Rowell was employed by Louisiana Pacific for more than 30 years. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Survivors include two daughters, Linda McDowell of Trout and Elvena Spears of West Monroe; two sons, Terry Rowell of Winnfield and Tandy Rowell of West Monroe; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are under the direction of Southern Funeral Home, 202 E. Lafayette St., Winnfield, where the family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 3, 2003, and from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 4, 2003. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 4, 2003, at Southern Funeral Home Chapel. Brother Bill Bradford will officiate.
Interment will follow at Couley Double Church Cemetery in Winnfield.
