Dates from death certificate are "about 1851-July 13, 1913". Jackson moved to Springfield, Ohio (about 2.5-hour drive away) between the 1900 and the 1910 census. This is where he died and one reason on his death certificate it listed merely Ironton, Ohio for his burial location. General Jackson Murnahan married Mary Jane Kelly on April 30, 1869 in Lawrence Co., Ohio. They had a boy named Joseph (as can be seen in the 1870 census), who is listed as Richard in the 1880.

Living with Jackson in the 1880 census is Elvira Markins and 2 kids Eva P. and Colonel C. Markins. Elvira was married to James H. Spradling in 1875, so not for sure if these kids are Spradling's or Jackson's. Jackson Murnahan married Elvira Markins on Feb. 24, 1888 in Lawrence Co., Ohio.
