rs. Esterlean Rogers Collins, 76, widow of Patrick Cleveland "P.C." Collins, died Sunday, September 5, at Mullins Nursing Center after an extended illness.

Mrs. Collins, a loving mother and grandmother, was born December 26, 1933, in Marion County, a daughter of the late Percy Mack and Maebell Williams Rogers. She retired from McCormick Elementary School as a lunchroom supervisor. She was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church.
Mrs. Collins was known throughout the Pleasant View community as a loving and caring person who was always providing cakes or food to families during their time of need and because of this, she served as Chairman of the Pleasant View Baptist Church Hostess Committee for over 20 years.

Surviving Mrs. Collins are her children, Renee Collins Hodge and her husband, Dean, of Plesant View and Christopher Rogers Collins and his wife, Trella, of Pleasant View; her grandchildren, Mattie Hodge, Sydney Collins and Kennedy Collins. Mrs. Collins was predeceased by a sister, Ruby Rogers Britt.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Tuesday, September 7, at Pleasant View Baptist Church, with the Rev. John Forbes officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant View Baptist Church Cemetery, directed by Cox-Collins Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held Monday evening from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Cox-Collins Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pleasant View Baptist Church,
