Roseanna was the widow of Richmond Mullis before she married William Berry Rowan. 1850 US Census shows a Rose Ann Mullis (24) living in Lowndes Co (Berrien wasn't formed until 1856) with William A Knight (73) and his wife Sara (70), also shown is Amanda Mullis (4). These ages fit the dates of Roseanna and the great grandparents of her future (1886) daughter-in-law, Phoebe America Knight Rowan, the Rev William Anderson Knight (son of RS John Knight and his wife, the former Fannie Anderson) and his wife Sarah Cone Knight (daughter of RS William Cone and his wife the former Keziah Barber).

Roseanna was received as Mrs Richmond Mullis into Union Church on Apr 13 1850, by letter from Beulah Church in Pulaski Co. Married to WB Rowan in 1852, she transferred to Mt Olive on July 9 1853. She didn't move her letter to Empire when Mr Rowan did, but did so on Jan 25 1890.
