Fern was a sister of 5, a mother of 4, a grandmother of 7 and now a great-grandmother of 7. Fern always tried her best and did what she could for anyone.....to be frank, I never really got to know her that well but I do know that I miss her and those yearly trips to her house for Thanksgiving. I remember that her house always smelled the same and had that never changing 70's style to it. She never kept her hair long and she embraced her Native American Heritage. I still remember exactly how her voice sounds, a slight sugar coated rasp that tickled your ear. The name on her birth certificate is actually spelled Ferne and she said Ferna was her alias as a joke. Everyone was always welcome in her house and you had to enter through the garage and when you opened the door she'd be sitting at her table by the TV telling you what she'd done to make you more at home. She also had her own kiln and was always making some new ceramic piece that she masterfully painted of course and gave them out to friends and family. That's all I can remember right now, so if anyone wants to add anything feel free. I love you grandma.
