KERRVILLE - Richard Calvin Balzen, 76, died Thursday, Sept. 2, 2010, in San Antonio.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Knippa Cemetery in Knippa, with the Rev. Frankie Enloe, pastor, officiating. Arrangements are by Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary of Uvalde.

Richard was born March 5, 1934, in Knippa to Julius and Lottie Balzen. He married Vonda Bedwell in Amarillo. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Alfred Balzen; and a sister; Alice Mills.

Survivors include his wife, Vonda Balzen; two daughters, Clifta DeGrassi and husband Wayne of San Antonio and Sandi Eudey and husband Doug of Amarillo; two stepdaughters, Paula Ince and husband Stacy of Amarillo and Sonia Cryer and husband Paul of Round Rock; two sons, Rick Balzen and wife Cathy of Colorado and Jason Balzen of Kerrville; a stepson, Tony Munoz of Amarillo; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
