"Englebert Christensen, 74, of Grand Island passed away on Monday May 31 at Grand Island. He was born on April 2, 1897 at Wolbach, Nebr.

Survivors include his wife, Susie of Grand Island.

Funeral services will be held this Thursday, June 3 at 2:30 from the United Methodist Church in Arnold with Rev. Galen Skinner officiating.

Burial is in the Arnold Cemetery with Quig and Tickle Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements."

"Funeral Services were held on Thursday, June 3 at 2:30 P.M. from the United Methodist Church in Arnold for Englebert Chrintensen who passed away on May 31st.

Rev. Galen Skinner officiated at the services.

Everett Platt sang "Sweet Hour of Prayer" and "Sometime We'll Understand accompanied by Mrs. C. d. Quig at the Organ.

Pallbearers were: Hal Smith, Albert Nielsen, Raymond Greghan, Andy Nielsen, Carl Nielsen and George Morrison.

Interment was in the Arnold Cemetery with Quig-Tickle Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Englebert Christensen was born near Wolback, Nebr., on April 2, 1897 and grew to manhood there.

He later farmed near Arnold where he met and married Susie Essley on June 3, 1925.

In March 1942 he moved to Grand Island and farmed near there.

He was baptized in the Danish Lutheran Church in Wolbach.

Mr. Christensen is survived by his wife Susie; one brother Albert. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and an infant son."
