Mary Frances Vandenberg Green McPeake was an amazing woman who was my mother.
She was born to Willis and Daisy (Dean) Vanderberg. (Note: Her father's name was spelled Vanderberg, my mother's birth certificate says Vandenberg).
On April 15, 1949, she married Arthur M. Green and they had 4 children. Art died on March 18, 1958 from a brain aneurysm.
On September 9, 1960, she married Herbert H. McPeake Sr., who was a man raising 5 kids.
After their marriage, my parents had 2 additional children.
Following the death of her first husband, Art, my Mom went to school to become a nurse. She became an LPN in Sept 1960, however, when her and my father were married she became a stay at home Mom.
My Mom is the one who got me started on tracing our family trees.
