OBITUARY Iron River Reporter Dec 9 1947 “Tony Pucylowski Funeral Rites Are Held Today”
Funeral services were to be held this morning at the Johns chapel for Anton M. “Tony” Pucylowski, 38, Iron River, who died suddenly Saturday morning when stricken with a heart attack at the farm home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Teofil Pucylowski, north of Mineral Hills.
Rev. Fr. Francis E. Krysty, Assumption church pastor, conducted services at the mortuary today. Interment was in the receiving vault at Resthaven. The rosary was recited at the chapel last evening.
Mr. Pucylowski was born here Feb. 2, 1909, attended the Iron River high school and entered the logging business. For several years, he held the star route contract for carrying the mail daily between Iron River and Powers. His contract expired in March, 1946. During the war years, he and his wife, formerly Ruth Reijonen of the Hiawatha location, were employed in the shipyards at Vancouver, Washington.
In recent months, he was a representative for the Sparton Manor Trailer firm in this area.
Surviving are his wife, parents, a brother Joseph, Iron River, and three sisters, Mrs. Frank Maskus, Crystal Falls, Mrs. Richard Perrin, Milwaukee golfer, and Miss Bernice Barbara Pucylowski, Los Angeles, former Milwaukee dancing instructor.
