DOROTHY L. ANDERS


LOLITA - Dorothy L. Anders, age 91, of Lolita, passed away Monday, Aug. 16, 2010. She was born July 28, 1919, in Calhoun County, to the late Charles and Wilhelmina Osterman Schicke.
Dorothy is survived by her daughters, Priscilla Coker and husband Edgar of Port Lavaca, and Marilyn Bryan of Corpus Christi; and sons, Mike Anders and wife Nora of Baytown, Pat Ander and wife Sandra of Cuero, and Mark Anders and wife Sandra of Vanderbilt. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jack M. Anders; three sisters; and 10 brothers.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. today, Aug. 18, 2010, at Oaklawn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 19, 2010 at the First Baptist Church of Lolita. Burial will follow in Red Bluff Cemetery. Dr. Gene Rice will be officiating.
Pallbearers will be Leslie Coker, Brady Anders, Evan Anders, Paul Riley, Jason White and Quin Dennis.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to all of Dorothy's caregivers, Alice Prince, Shelia Roberts, Lindy Autry and Kay Jones.
