Bertrand - Elvis E. Alberson, 76 years old, of Bertrand, died Monday at his home.
He was born Oct. 12, 1914, at Sikeston, the son of William Earl and Rose Ferron Alberson. He married Mildred Myers Jan. 13, 1934. She died Dec. 19, 1983. He later married Arnneeda Hornback June 8, 1987.
He was formerly part owner of AAA Credit Co. He later owned and operated Mid-States Credit Co. He served in the Maritime Coast Guard during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Tom Alberson; a daughter, Kitty Perry; two stepsons, Michael and Rick Hornback; two brothers, Ray and Charles Alberson; three sisters, Opal Anderson, Geraldine Lewis and Jo Annette Oertli; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, three brothers and a granddaughter.
Funeral service will be held today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in the Garden of Memories Cemetery.
