Monroe Shoemake, 71, who died Sunday in a Davidson County hospital. The Rev. Hall Barrett officiated.
Burial was in the City Cemtery. Whitson Funeral Home had charge of arrangements. Mr. Shoemake was well know as a musician and teacher of music throughout this area. He had been inactive in recent years due to poor
health. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church. Survivors are three sisters, Mrs. Bertie Brown, Gallatin, Mrs. Della Lowman, Nashville, Mrs. Velma Julian, Nashville; one nephew, Arnold Brown, Cookeville.
