Patricia Whitehorn
Rosary will be recited at 5:30 p.m. Sunday in Croxford's Chapel for Mrs. Wayne (Patricia Toole) Whitehorn, 56, of Floweree. Her funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday in Our Lady of Lourdes Church with the Rev. Eugene Hruska officiating, followed by burial in Highland Cemetery.
Mrs. Whitehorn died in a local hospital Thursday of injuries received in a traffic accident.
She was born in Great Falls and graduated from Great Falls High School and the College of Great Falls.
Her music career started after study with Rita Volk, a singer in the Turkish opera, and for many years, Mrs. Whitehorn, a soprano, sang in the Great Falls area. She was also a music composer, having written a musical about the life of her grandfather, the state's first governor, Joseph K. Toole, and also a children's Christmas musical play and a concerto, "Love".
Mrs. Whitehorn was an active member of the Shrine, Elks, College of Great Falls Guild, Tuesday Music Club, and Flower Growers. She was past chairman of Tuesday Music Club awards program, Eastern District Chairman for the Montana Federation of Music Clubs, chairman for National Music Week, chairman of the Centennial Pioneer Search Committee for Great Falls Territory; Heritage Award chairman for the Montana Cowgirls Association, had been grand regent of Catholic Daughters of America, and served on the board of the College of Great Falls Guild.
In December, 1960, she was married to Wayne A. Whitehorn, a rancher in the Floweree area. He survives with their children, Eulalie Whitehorn, Great Falls, and Dan Whitehorn, Floweree; and her brother, Lt. Cmdr. Warren Kemp Toole, Hayward, Calif.
