Costlow Rites Set In Athens


Larue - Funeral services for George "Walk" Costlow, 85, of Larue, are set in Athens for 2 p.m. Tuesday in Foster & Brown Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. James Duncan and the Rev. J. A. Griffin officiating. Burial will be in Frankston Cemetery.


Mr. Costlow died Sunday night in a Jacksonville hospital after a long illness. He was a lifelong Larue resident, a retired farmer, a World War I veteran and a Baptist.


Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Eva Costlow of Larue; four sons, Travis Costlow and Mack Costlow, both of Frankston, Sterling Costlow of Austin and Herschel Costlow of Garland; two daughters, Mrs. Marzell Williams and Mrs. Mattie Jo Wilbanks, both of Athens; three brothers, L. D. Costlow and Owen Costlow, both of Larue and Lum Costlow of Waxahachie; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Etta Ford of Athens and Mrs. Jewel Douglas of Poynor; and five grandchildren.


Pallbearers will be Vivian Ford, Jim Costlow, Delton Costlow, R. B. Wofford, Billy Jack Dunklin and Maxie Douglas.
