Obituary Transcription:
"William F. Lukehart, Creekside, Indiana county, a native of Tyrone, died Sunday morning at Indiana hospital of injuries said to have been suffered in an accident last Friday while working as a machinist in a Lucerne Mine when he was engaged in heading a cast iron mine-pump piston. The hollow piston, was filled with water and during the heating process exploded, wrecking tlhe shop in which he was working. Mr. Lukehart had both legs broken and suffered other injuries. He was born at Tyrone, 17 July 1886 [sic ], a son of the late Thomas F. Lukehart. Surviving are his wife. Mrs. Doll (Condron) Lukehart and four children, William, Bus, Roy and Jane, all at home and one grandchild. Brothers and sisters surviving are Ralph M. Lukehart, 427 Crawford Avenue, in Altoona; Mrs. Maul Stere and Mrs. Etta Crepe, both of Tyrone, and Mrs. Grace Trageser, Pittsburg. Funeral services will be held from his home, Creekside, tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. "
