THE BILLINGS GAZETTE WED OCT 12, 1977, P6 8A Clarence (Nick) Thedore Holt, 85 of 239 Alderson Ave, came to billings in 1927 and worked as a yard master for the Northern Pacifie railroad for 26 years and the Interstate Commerce Commission from 1943 to 1958.
He died Tuesday at Deaconess Hospital of heart failure.
he was born in Tracy, Lyon co., Minnesota to parents Nekola Holt and Live Odegaarden. He married Vivian May Klopp in July 1914 in Minn. She died in 1970. In 1972 he married Minnie K Oostema in Billings.
Mr.Holt was a member of Masonic lodge No.113, AF&AM; Scottish Rite, Al Bedoo Shrine, the American Association of Retired persons, The National Association of Retired Federal employees and the The Billings Senior Citizens.
Survivors include his widow Minnie, a son Robert T Holt, of 718 Terry Ave; a daughter Marian May Duncan of Glenview, Ill; a sister Louise Holtze, Minn; three grandchildren.
Services will be 2 pm Thursday at Smith's downtown chapel cremetion will follow. Burial at Terrace Gardens cemetery.
