Memorial services for Helen Cook Guild, 78, Camarillo, were recently held in Charlevoix. Interment was in Brookside Cemetery in Charlevoix.
Mrs. Guild died August 22, 1981 at her home in Ventura, California after a long illness. She was born Feb. 10, 1903, in Nairn Center, Ontario, Canada, an was a 18 month Charlevoix native. She was retired having been a registered nurse. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and past Matron Club in Charlevoix.
She is survived by a son Glenn D. of Camarillo; step-daughters, Donna Paul of Charlevoix and June Ross of Lansing, Mich.; brothers, George Newman of New Westminster, B.C., and Lorne Newman of Fort William, Ontario, Canada; sisters, Pearl Grate of Charlevoix, Myrtle Betts of Temple, Texas, and Ina Armstrong of New Westminster, B.C.; two granddaughters; and eight step-grandchildren.
