Edgar Leroy Campbell, 45-year-old owner-operator of the "Big Oaks" Kittanning RD 1 restaurant, died at about 2:30 a.m. today (August 22, 1959). He was born May 6, 1915, in Worthington, a son of the late Edward and Essie Walker Campbell. He spent most of his lifetime in Worthington, having been in the hardware business there for some time. He was a member of Rupp Lutheran Church and the Kittanning Loyal Order of Moose. Surviving are his wife, Edna Lerner Campbell; one daughter, Mrs. Sandra Lasher of Vanergrift, and two grandsons. He also leaves four sisters and a brother, Mrs. Myra Long of Worthington, Miss Florence Campbell of Worthington, Mrs. Lucille Lanning of Minerva, Ohio; Mrs. Sarah Wible of York and William Campbell of Punxsutawney. Friends are being received at the Walker funeral home, Worthington, where services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday. His pastor, the Rev. Charles Miller, will officiate. Burial will be in Lawn Haven memorial Park.

Funeral services for Edgar L. Campbell of Kittanning RD 1 who died Saturday (Aug. 22) in Armstrong County Memorial Hospital were held at 3 p.m. yesterday (Aug. 24, 1959) at Walker funeral home in Worthington. Dr. Elmer F. Rice, former pastor of Manorville Lutheran parish, officiated. Pall bears were Frank Pfaff, Paul Dosch, Perry Lasher, Russell Felsing, Kenneth Stubick, and Vincent Dickman. Interment was made in Lawn Haven Burial Estates.
