Shared marker with wife Jewel Dene McAnulty Ross and daughter LaDonna Jean Ross Hipps. Alan J. Ross had previously married Patricia Ruth Owens on 22 JUL 1950, but they divorced prior to his marriage to Jewel Dene McAnulty in 1960. Four children had been born during this time: Dennis Alan Ross (28 DEC 1951) in Russellville, Pope County, Arkansas; Randall Lee Ross (02 DEC 1952) in Phoenix, Maricopa County, Arizona; Deborah Kay Ross (02 FEB 1955), Phoenix, Maricopa County, Arizona; and Donna Dean Ross (25 AUG 1958) also in Phoenix, Maricopa County, Arizona. Alan and Jewel raised most of these children back in Arkansas, while his former wife raised their youngest daughter in California. Alan & family lived near the Arkansas River and Dardenelle Rock on River Street in Dardenelle, Arkansas, where he worked for the Light & Water Company there. He was well liked and a much appreciated citizen of the city. A good father, uncle and grandfather, Alan made sure all 5 of his children knew each other well before he passed away.
