He was born March 3, 1943 in Provo, Utah to Bert Murdock and Helen Dorcas Warner Buckley. He married his sweatheart Shirlene Kendall September 27, 1974 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Provo Temple August 13, 1977.
He is survived by his wife Shirlene; four daughters, Jennifer (William) Cain, Marlene (Clay) Koyle, Helen (Chad) Robinson, and Veronica (Jordan) Painter all of Nephi; two brothers, Gary W. Buckley of Layton and Wayne William Buckley of Provo; 8 granddaughers, 5 grandsons, and 1 great granddaughter. Preceded in death by his father and mother, a son Bobby G. Buckley, and a brother Bert Clyde Buckley.
Butch was a great man and will be deeply missed. He was a loving husband, father, and grandpa. He served his country in the Vietnam war.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 5, 2009 in the Nephi North Stake Center, 1125 North 400 East. Family and friends may call Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Anderson Funeral Home, 94 W 300 N Nephi and at the church one hour prior to the services. Interment will be in the Nephi Vine Bluff Cemetery.
