Mrs. Myrtle B. Thompson Passed Away on March 8

Myrtle B. Smith, daughter of Martha and Daniel B. Smith, was born July 19, 1881, at Brock, Nebraska, and passed away at Arcadia, March 8, 1952.

She came to the Yale community when she was about two, and lived in Valley county the rest of her life, except four years in Kansas, and three in St. Petersburg, Florida.

At an early age she united with the Methodist church.

She was united in marriage to Edward F. Thompson, November 13th, 1901, at Yale, Nebraska. To this union five children were born, Anthony of St. Petersburg, Florida; Glenn of Vale, Oregon; Cledith of Buena Park, California; Alberta Bellinger of Arcadia; and one son, Cecil, who preceded her in death in 1910. In 1946, her husband died. Besides her children she also leaves five sisters, one brother, and eight grandchildren.

Services were held at the C.A. Bellinger residence Wednesday, March 12th, with Rev. C. W. Buehler in charge. Burial in Arcadia City Cemetery.
