Mrs. Margaret Dollie Barlow age 94 died Wednesday afternoon March 3, at the Keokuk County Hospital following an extensive illness. She entered the hospital September 24.

She was born February 26, 1877, at Martinsburg, the daughter of Samuel and Frances Dunn Pollock. She married William Rufus Barlow at Martinsburg March 10, 1898 and they were the parents of two children; a son [living], and a daughter Martena Thompson who preceded her in death in August 1968.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Sigourney and of the Rebekah Circle of the Women's Society of Christian Service: a member of the Rebekah Lodge for over 70 years and a member of the Eastern Star, American Legion Auxilliary, Phytian Sisters and the Daughter of the American Revolution.

In addition to her son, she is survived by two grandchildren, five great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter. Preceding her in death besides her daughter were her husband in 1942, her parents, a brother Roscoe Pollock and two sisters Mrs Anna Morrow and Mrs Lulu Johnson.Funeral services were held Saturday, March 6 at two o'clock at the United Methodist Church with the Rev. Harold D Butts officiating. Mrs Charles Phelps , organist, and Thelma Derby soloist. Interment was in Pleasant Grove Cemetary.

Casket bearers were David Decook, Claude Denison, Ralph Snodgrass and Harley Utterback. The Reynolds Funeral home was in charge of arrangements.
