ST. CLAIR -- Calvin "Chub" Westrick, age 76, a life long St. Clair resident, died Saturday, July 17, 2004.
Chub was born in St. Clair on Nov. 3, 1927 to the late Bernice and Nelson Westrick.
He married Mary Jane Crawford in 1950.
Chub worked for Chrysler Co. in Marysville until retirement in 1990. He was a member of the St. Clair Fire Department for 38 years and was a St. Clair City Councilman for 20 years.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Jane; three children, Edward (Sharon) Westrick, Jeffrey (Melissa) Westrick and Cindy (Michael) Distelrath; five grandchildren, Edward Westrick II, Jason (Nickie) Westrick, Matt (Nicholle) Stein, Michael Distelrath, Jonathan Distelrath and Mary Distelrath; two great-grandchildren, Edward J. Westrick III and Mia Westrick; two brothers, David "Putch" (Gert) Westrick and Alan "Tarch" (JoAnn) Westrick.
Visitation will be 2 to 9 p.m. Monday at the L.C. Friederichs and Son Funeral Home, St. Clair.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. The Rev. Roland Troike will officiate. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jon Distelrath, Edward Westrick Jr., Jason Westrick, Alan "Tarch" Westrick and Chad Westrick. Honorary pallbearer will be Michael Distelrath.
Memorials may be made to Blue Water Hospice or St. Peters Lutheran Church.
