John Calvin Jarrett, 65, Iberia, died Friday at Still Regional Medical Center (Jefferson City). He was born June 19, 1926, in Iberia, a son of Will and Beulah Hicks Jarrett. He was married May 28, 1966, in Warrensburg to Esther Ozias, who survives at the home.

He was a World War II veteran, a member of the Iberia VFW and American Legion. He was a member of the Iberia Church of the Nazarene. He had been a farmer, a truck driver and owned the Eldon Coin Laundry from 1981-1986.

Other survivors include: three sons, Dwight Jarrett, John Jarrett Jr. and Steven Jarrett, all of Iberia; a daughter, Capt. Carolyn Jarrett, Wichita Falls, Texas; and three sisters, Georgia Shreve, Iberia, Bonnie Hendley, Horn Lake Mississippi, and Patricia Leach, Davenport, Iowa.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Iberia Church of the Nazarene. Revs. John Bouldrey and Kenneth Hendley will officiate. Military Rites and burial will be in the Jarrett Cemetery near Iberia. Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. today at the Stevinson-Mossman Funeral Home in Iberia.
