93, of Murray Formerly of Mayfield died Wednesday at Hickman - Clinton ICF in Clinton Ky. He was a past member of Mayfield First United Methodist Church, attended First United Methodist Church of Martin TN, retired sales Rep. with Schering Plough Pharmaceutical, and Army Veteran serving in WWII and Korean War. Mr. Maddox is survived his wife, Louise Crockett Maddox; five daughters, Vicki Smith of Mayfield, Denise Melvin of Mayfield, Amanda Watts of Mayfield, Suzie Cathey of Murray, Jill Holshouser of Mayfield; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 2 step-great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Belinda Boyd Maddox; brother, Dr. Tom Maddox; parents were James and Virginia (Smith) Maddox Sr. Memorial service will be held 2:00PM Friday 9-3-10 at the First United Methodist Church in Mayfield. Visitation will be held following the memorial service at the church. There will be a private burial held at Mayfield Memory Gardens. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to The First United Methodist Church in Mayfield or Martin TN.
