B, 107th Pennsylvania Infantry, and honorably discharged with his company July 13, 1865. His surname is in the company register and Bates' History of Pennsylvania Volunteers as "Boshinger."
After the war, he married Catherine Myers and fathered Benjamin Franklin (b. 11/07/66 - named in honor of his veteran-uncle who died of disease during the war), William Henry (b. 10/07/68), Mary Alice (b. 10/05/69 - married David H. Ensminger), Minnie Cora (b. 06/19/76 - married a Grim), Anna Agnes (b. 04/28/81 - married Milton Knisely), and Daniel A. (b. 10/20/87). He died in Windsor Township from "chronic valvular heart disease."
