Paul Eckman, 69, of 1280B Breneman Road, Conestoga, died Friday, November 19, 2004 at the Essa Flory Hospice Center after an illness. He was the husband of Arla M. Sellers Eckman with whom he was married 11 years on September 11. Paul retired from Millersville University in 1998 where he was a custodian. Paul was a member of Central Manor Church of God, Washington Boro., and a former member of the Millersville Lions Club. Paul enjoyed his family and grandkids. His grandchildren were the light in his eyes. Born in Lancaster, on June 3, 1935, he was the son of F. Loretta Henrich Eckman of Lancaster and the late J. Richard "Hap" Eckman. Surviving in addition to his wife and mother are five daughters, Donna L. Eckman of Mountville, Wendy S., married to Keith Kilby of NC, Tammy L. married to Pradeep Bhasin of Mountville, Stacy J. Miller of Conestoga, Christy R. married to Kenneth Watts of Conestoga; three sons, Michael S. Eckman married to Dawn of Holtwood, Terry L. Eckman of New Holland, Brian G. Ressler married to Diane of Lancaster; 13 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; one sister, Martha A. married to Carl Hrbac of Lititz; two brothers, J. Richard Eckman, Jr. married to Linda of Lancaster and William M. Eckman married to Cheryl of Mountville. He was preceded in death by a sister, Janice. (Lancaster New Era - Nov 23, 2004)
