Daughter of Thomas Bushby and Esther Rich Bushby, born February 13, 1852, at Hull, Yorkshire, England. Came to Salt Lake City, Utah, in 1867, where she has since made her home. Married John Daynes of Salt Lake City, June 6, 1871. She was custodian in Twentieth Ward Relief Society for many years, also member of choir and Y. L. M. I. A, was one of the first members of Y. L. M. I. A. when it was organized. She is the mother of seven children, two of whom are dead, the remainder are: Ida Daynes Snow, J. Fred Daynes, Della Daynes Hills, Royal W. Daynes and Dean Rich Daynes.
