Arthur Floyd "Butch" Adams, 69, of Templeton, died Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2010, at his residence.
He was born May 20, 1941, in Templeton, son of the late Arthur Henry Adams and Marian Claire (Anderson) Adams.

He worked in construction and retired from PennDOT. He was a member of Goheenville Presbyterian Church and was an avid outdoorsman.

Survivors include his wife, Frances L. Adams; daughters, Cindi LeMay, of California, and Tresa Uplinger, of Reynoldsville; son, Mitchum Adams, of Brookville; stepdaughters, Virginia Davis, of Cowansville, Teressa Adams, of Sarver, and Sharon Puz, of Templeton; stepsons, Blaine Toy Jr., of Templeton, and Frank Toy, of Mossgrove; 17 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; five sisters, Marian Louis, Kathleen Margaret, Luretta Claire, Virginia Mae and Luella; four brothers, Alford Leroy, Thomas Layne, Timothy Wayne and Harvey Duane.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Arthur S. Adams; and daughter, Michele P. Adams. He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and great-grandfather. He loved fishing and hunting and truly enjoyed the outdoors. He was a great man and will be truly missed.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in SNYDER-CRISSMAN FUNERAL HOME, Kittanning, and from noon until time of services at 1 p.m. Friday in the funeral home with the Rev. Ron Long, of Goheenville Presbyterian Church.

Interment will be in Mateer Cemetery.
