Born Dec. 21, 1922, in Canton to Russell and Laura Youngman, she married Charles Velpel on Nov. 19, 1941, in Spring Bay. He survives.
Also surviving are two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Vicki Hulve.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church in East Peoria.
Burial will be in Fondulac Cemetery.
